POSTAGE & DELIVERY METHODS & FEES
Delivery Costs have always been a real problem with online shopping, and many online retailers charge a flat fee which is unfair because it means you are likely to get overcharged. At Planet Yum we want to keep it fair, so at this time we have chosen to calculate the charges manually. We use either Australia Post registered post services/satchels or our own Courier. If it is cheaper to send your order via Australia Post your postage fee (as at 22.1.12) will be as follows:
AUSTRALIAN RETAIL ORDERS OVER $AU100.00 - Postage is Free
ALL INTERNATIONAL ORDERS - up to 20kg in total only postage is not free, please see below:
Small Orders

Note: if what you have ordered is too big to fit in the 500g satchel it will require either a 3kg or 5kg satchel at the following Medium or Large satchel fees...
Medium Orders

Larger Orders over 5kg may require a box - we will advise you as Australia Post fee depends upon the physical dimensions of the box plus the weight.
CANCELLATION OF ORDERS
You may advise us to cancel your order any time. However, if your order is already charged and dispatched via post or courier it is too late to cancel. When an order is dispatched you automatically receive an email with the status of 'sent/delivered'.
COURIER SERVICE
IMPORTANT:
We'll advise you if we are sending your order via our courier and will provide you with a tracking number and details of how you can use that number to track where your parcel is before it gets to you.
- Please have someone be available to collect your package from the courier. You can advise us to leave the parcel on your front porch if you feel it is safe to do so and we will advise the courier. If not, and if no one is home a card will be left and you need to contact the courier to arrange an alternate re-delivery. If you do not do this your parcel will be returned to Planet Yum. Once we receive the parcel back at Planet Yum we can send your parcel again if you still wish to receive it. However, you will be charged for the courier fee a second time. Should you not wish to have your order sent a second time, we'll arrange a refund to be given to you.
Once your online shopping is completed, and you have provided your delivery address AND payment option (VISA, Mastercard, Bank Card or direct deposit) the cost of your order will NOT show the postal cost. We will work out the Best Way to deliver to you at the cheaper of either Australia Post or Courier. You can select the "Best Way" check box in the checkout area.
I'd Like to pick up my order from you personally.
You may also pick up your order from us personally if you wish, but please phone us first to ensure someone can attend you at a specific time and date. You can pay us personally via credit card, or cash rather than online.
HOW TO PAY
- Paying By Credit Card? If you would like a quote on postage/delivery costs before we bill your card & dispatch your goods please leave a note at the Checkout when you finalise your online order. We will email you at the time we are packing your order to let you know the cost of postage/courier. We then await your return email confirming your clearance before sending your order. If you do not ask for a quote we will proceed to bill your credit card based on the cheapest choice of postal service.
Once we have calculated the exact cost of your order including postage or courier fees, we will send you an email with our Bank Account details so you can deposit the funds directly. Oh...please send us a copy of the online banking transaction either while you are doing it (our email is sales@planetyum.com.au), or after you have done it. Please include your name & order number! This way we have proof of payment even before it shows in our account; we can then send your order immediately. Otherwise we will have to wait a couple of days before sending your order until we see the funds in Planet Yum's bank account.
- Offline Orders If you prefer to finalise your payment via telephone instead of using our secure server payment system you must click the box that says "Offline orders/vouchers..." at the final stage of the checkout. We'll give you a call once we know the total cost of your order including postage and you can finalise payment over the telephone.
CANCELLATION OF ORDERS
If you are paying via direct deposit and your payment has not been received in full within 14 days of first placing your order, the order will be cancelled.
Cancellation of larger wholesale orders
Once you have received your invoice please check it for accuracy. Please advise us within 24 hours of receiving your invoice if there is anything you are not satisfied with. If we have not heard from you within 24 hours of receiving your invoice we can proceed to bill your credit card. If you cancel your order after we have billed your card we do not offer refund.
- If your order is urgent please let us know in the "Comments" field at the Checkout and we can calculate the cost for express post.

Country areas & interstate vary. We will advise you of the fee close to packing your order.
Couriers cannot deliver to Post Office Box addresses.
DELIVERY FROM SYDNEY TO INTERSTATE, REMOTE or OTHER AREAS
If your order does not go through online, it is because you require delivery to an area outside the delivery limits. This does not mean we won't deliver there, so please contact us for a quote.

* We use Couriers Please as our courier service. Occasional delays are experienced which are out of our control. As such we cannot accept responsibilty for delays during carriage. We do not guarantee earlier times, but do our best to accommodate. If there is any dispute regarding these matters we will work diligently to resolve any problems to everyone's satisfaction.
Orders Placed on Weekends
All orders placed on Friday (after 4pm), Saturday or Sunday will be processed on the following working day (generally a Monday unless a public holiday coincides).
International Shipping Costs
Orders are able to be delivered all over the world.
We use Australia Post. You can check the rates here: Australia Post International Fees
At times it may be best to send your order via our courier, either because the dimesnions of the box are too big for Australia Post to deliver, or during peak holiday seasons like Christmas the courier service does not seem as congested as Australia Post. |
